Community Reporting in the Italian Pilot of CoSIE
In Italy, the stories that were gathered were from families (i.e. parents and children) who were accessing childhood obesity support through the healthcare system. The stories gathered focused on two key topics: (1) activities and support that kept families well, and (2) things that prevented them from leading a healthy and well life. You can access the stories here.
In the Italian pilot, there were two main purposes for utilising the Community Reporting methodology:
An insight tool: To gather and curate insight stories about what keeps families (including children) well. This provided the pilot with citizen perspectives (from physical, mental and social stances) on the main contributors to and challenges surrounding their health and wellbeing.
A reflection tool: To reflect upon people’s experiences of the pilot – in terms of both the usage of the App and also the co-creation process. This will provide the pilot with the ability to identify the key learnings from their co-creation activities and routes for sustainability post-CoSIE.
“[The stories were] extremely powerful in representing some issues… and pushed for action with stakeholders”.
